Cookie Policy

The short version

This site sets no cookies. It writes nothing to local storage or session storage, embeds no third-party analytics or advertising scripts, and shows no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. That includes the listening pages DJs reach from a campaign email.

The one cookie that exists

Signing in to the artist portal at /app sets a single strictly-necessary session cookie (bc_session). It keeps you signed in, is HttpOnly and Secure, is scoped to this site only, and is deleted when you sign out. It carries no tracking or advertising data. If you never sign in, it is never set.

What we record without cookies

On listening pages we record playback activity server-side so artists can see how their music was received. This is tied to a randomly generated session identifier that exists only in the page's memory and is discarded when you close the tab — it is not stored on your device and cannot follow you to another site or another visit. Alongside it we record the release and campaign you were sent, your IP address (used for approximate country/region/city and for abuse prevention), your browser's user-agent string, and playback, download and feedback events.

Managing this

There are no preferences to set here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking them only affects staying signed in to the portal. Because we run no tracking cookies, “Do Not Track” signals change nothing about what this site does.
